Eltex.ACS

Description
The Automatic Configuration Server (ACS) is designed to automate and simplify the configuration of customers premises equipment (CPE) using a protocol described in the TR-069 standard and allows the operator to centrally manage client equipment through a global network. This standard defines a mechanism that makes a safe automatic configuration of CPE and combines CPE management functions into a single system.
Benefits:
- Increasing subscriber loyalty
- Growing the company’s profits
- Centralizing subscriber device management
- Reducing costs for personnel training and upskilling
Single approach to device control
The TR-069 Protocol enables a single way to manage all user devices installed on the carrier's network. The Eltex.ACS server supports the connection of various Eltex subscriber devices. It is also possible to connect third-party devices that fully support TR-069 specifications and have undergone compatibility testing.
Configuration models
The Eltex.ACS system provides 2 configuration models for subscriber devices:
- ACS only configures public parameters of subscriber devices, while subscribers' private data, such as phone numbers, PPP, SIP passwords, etc., will be configured by users on their devices via a web interface.
- ACS configures all parameters of subscriber devices, including all service parameters.
OSS integration
The ACS server can be managed via NorthBound, allowing complete OSS integration. This provides a capability to adjust all network elements in order to connect a new subscriber within a very short period of time and with minimal engineering resources.
Functions
- Pre-assignment of a device to a subscriber, assignment on request
- Management of VoIP gateways hidden behind the router
- Flexible integration with any CPE supporting a TR-069 protocol
- Automatic device detection (zero-touch configuration)
- Flexible hierarchical system of profiles and services allows creating rich configurations based on different criteria of CPE grouping
- Additional layer of subscriber abstraction from the device simplifies the setting of individual parameters and enables changing the subscriber equipment (replacement by similar devices) without additional services configuration
- Automated network monitoring, failure tracking, and firmware updates
- Connecting over 100,000 devices per server
- Integration with the Eltex.EMS enterprise management system within a single user interface
- HTTPS protocol
- Support for scripts (operator can create any script for ACS server operation with CPE)
